  • Guaranteed Torture

    UPS advertised a guarantee of next day delivery or they will refund your money. When the package was delivered late, I went to the UPS location to ask for a refund and I was SCREAMED AT by the guy who worked there. I spent HOURS on the phone with many different UPS customer service representatives who gave me a runaround - they kept referring me to different phone numbers, and those people would refer me back to the previous number.   • Damaged Box

    My package was dropped of at the side of the road next to the mail boxes. Plus the box had a big hole in it. Thank god it wasn't raining. I can see how Christmas gifts get stolen.     ordered a product from Microsoft which was being sent through UPS. They collected from the first point and delivered to a warehouse and marked as delivered. But that was not to me.     they returned a package i sent due to supposed address problem. address was paypal verified , customer confirmed it as well. Also customer said he received shipments at the address regularly.     Having shipped a lot with UPS I have always have had some frustration on getting stuff delivered. I can understand that this isn't always easy and delays happen. But this time I am very bothered by how they are going about handling my current issue. Purchased an item and it was shipped next day via UPS ground.     Person was waiting for delivery on other end of 2 day shipping. Tracking says it was left at front door at 1:52 PM on 9/17/14 and was delivered. However, UPS truck never even showed up at house and video security proves it.   • UPS Policies Ridiculous for my job.

    I have a job where I receive multiple packages delivered to my address, open them, take digital photographs of the contents, weigh them on a postal scale, fill out a report, and forward them to intended recipients. I like this job, it is easy, convenient, and pays well, but it becomes an issue when I cannot get a package delivered reasonably, since the name on the packages is not mine, I cannot go and pick them up at the warehouse because they will want an ID with the name on it.     I was tracking a shipment of a purchase I made through eBay. I was glad to see UPS was the carrier. I've NEVER had a problem with getting timely delivery through UPS.     The company I work for choose UPS to "deliver" an award for my 25 years of service with them. Although the shipping label was filled out correctly with my name and address, the UPS driver chose to deliver the package to some arbitrary address 45 miles away from my house.     Package shipped from UK on 29 Jan. Arrived in Richmond B.C. Canada on 31 Jan. Package transferred to Nanaimo B.C. on 1 Feb. Package sat there until 5 February when it was shipped back to Richmond, B.C. Package was then shipped back to Nanaimo B.C. on 7 Feb. After several phone calls, UPS finally said they gave the package to Purolator on 7 Feb to be taken to Canada Post in Campbell River, B.C. where it will be mailed to us.   • Warehouse hours

    At the Niagara Falls US warehouse on Packard Road Canadian Customers pick up UPS packages. This saves time as it would take longer to pick up at a ups store or private warehouse. Over the holiday period the warehouse changed it's pick up hours from 9am to 1pm due to the high volume of freight to process, and I understand this. However now that the holidays have passed the warehouse is open for commercial pick ups, and drop offs at 11:30 am and not 9am as it used to be.     when my iphone broke, my insurance was going to send a replacement the next day. Since I had to sign for it, I waited at home all day for it. At 5PM I called the 1-800 UPS number and asked where it was. They checked and said the driver couldn't come to my door because my dogs were in the yard. I don't have dogs.     As an ASO - I shipped a package that was insured for $700. The item (properly packed) was still damaged by UPS. We have provided all the information that they have asked for - but today, 8 weeks into the claim, now they want us to ship it to a third party evaluator to determine if it is fixable or not. Plus they want documentation of the shipper sold it for as opposed to what the replacement cost.     Twice this month UPS has delivered my package to another address and then listed it as "left at front door" on the tracking page. Both times, I was home and no UPS delivery attempt occurred at my house. The first time, the delivery was a chair, and the semi-distant neighbors brought the chair to us, thank goodness.     I switched my days off so that I may sit home and wait for my package to be delivered. I sat home, in silence, all day browsing the internet to insure that I would not miss this delivery.     In April I sent 3 boxes, totalling 42 lbs. to Phoenix AZ as a donation for a children's hospital charity event in May. UPS is billing me for $398.06 for this shipment. The charity was willing to repay me reasonable shipping charges, but in good consciousness I can not ask them for this absurd amount.     On 12-17-11 Omaha Steaks sent a gift from a friend to me and on 12-21-11 a tenent who rents at the address where i work that the package was sent to found it in the bushes with a stem from the bush through the package.     The UPS driver hit my car and damaged the taillight and bumper. We filed a claim with customer service, sent them photographs with the tracking number of the package he delivered.     I ordered a product from best buy and entered the street address number wrong. Three characters wrong on the address. Best buy shipped it via UPS. UPS suppossedly researched the address and instead of correcting it to an easily located address using google modified the address to a completely different stree address and retried delivery.     We recently sent a package to our accountant containing important tax records through UPS. They unilaterally changed the address from a business to a vacant apartment. They were lax in their efforts to try to recover the package. Now they tell us they can only reimburse us for the COST OF THE INK to reproduce those documents.     I strongly suggest that you do not use UPS service. They are horrible. I suppose to receive a package next day delivery and its over 3 days and I still have not received it. Their excuse is that adverse weather condition, but I think that is just an excuse to delay my package. Weather is perfectly fine where I am nice and sunny, I even check the surrounding areas and there is no major adverse weather.     I am very dissapointed in UPS. I ordered an iPod from Apple, with engraving. My brother ordered one too, and got his a little later than expected.   • Terrible delivery service

    One specific UPS driver fails to place packages on porch, instead stands 8-10 feet away and throws it toward the porch damaging the box and usually items inside then rapidly leaves as if being chased. Last (July 2009) month he tossed an envelope with important irreplaceable documents landing in a childs wading pool alongside the porch ruining the documents. This occurred in San Jose California July and Aug 2009. UPS obviously needs better supervision and training.   • Lousy service

    I ordered a product and paid for overnight delivery from Amazon. I am sitting 48 hours later and killing time waiting for UPS to arrive. the tracking service gives no hint of when they will arrive or if they will arrive today. the product was in the local delivery location 5AM this morning. you would think that since it was a day late it would be delivered first thing in the morning. No number to call, no way to complain and the attitude if i go to their warehouse is that they do not care the least. More...

  • don't ever use them

    This is the worst company ever, not only are they rude, don't have any concern for the packages when they throw them or drop them, but they are also never dependable. This is the third time i have had next day shipping which was paid for and ordered early the day before, and they weren't on time. Usually you'll get it the day after or sometimes the week, well I always use the internet to track my orders and good luck with getting refunds because sometimes they'll twist the story and say you didn't order on time, or you didn't specify pickup time, or some... More...
