UPS Strikes Again - Amazon Beware - Canon Monochrome Laser Printer

Well, once again Amazon misguidedly chose UPS to deliver a printer, signature required. I was notified delivery would be today. Au contraire my friends and foes. When the doorbell rang last night (Tues) after dark I did not answer it. This morning I found a lovely note from UPS saying they attempted delivery, but a signature was required, so they did not deliver. I immediately called UPS and was assured it would be delivered today. After waiting in the house from 7AM until 6:00PM, I checked UPS tracking. Much to my bafflement, the package was delivered between 10A-2P and left on the front porch. Strange, since it required a signature. There is no package on my front porch, back porch, in the yard or anywhere in my cul de sac. I called UPS and they kindly offered to "start an investigation". I also called Amazon and cancelled the order. BTW, it is a 37 pound printer, not easily misplaced. I again called UPS and "Frank" did not listen, could have cared less, but told me they would send a driver back tomorrow to look for the package. I translate that as the customer is the one who is stupid or blind, or demented. Did I end up yelling? Yes. Did I get the number for the next higher level of management who incidentally is conveniently not in? You bet. Did I call Amazon and cancel the order. Sure did. UPS may think that customers can be defined by the acronym You Customer Stupid (YCS) but I suggest that the acronym for their company needs to be reinterpreted.
